The Center for Business Information Management is the application-oriented platform for Business Studies and IT at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur. The research interests of the university as well as its partners from industry and academia are both coordinated and promoted. The integration in CTI projects and competence networks permits the exchange of experience and the concentration of know-how.

Offshoring and information communications technology – a successful liaison

The coming together of outsourcing/offshoring with modern information and communication technologies has far-reaching consequences. On the one hand, these technologies facilitate possibilities for offshoring. On the other hand, the hitherto so successful ICT sector has been affected by the strong offshoring current it has triggered, and this has happened to an extent that tends to be viewed negatively in this country.
