Concept and course objectives
Sponsoring plays an increasingly important part in brand integration and corporate communication strategies.
At the same time, there is evidence of specialization and further professionalization in the field of sponsoring management, a trend affecting the sponsors as well as their sponsorees.


The Sponsoring Management certificate course at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) has been developed in collaboration with the sponsorship association of the German-speaking European markets, FASPO, and is the first university-level continuing education course in the German-speaking world to be offered to employed professionals.

Among other aspects, the course will provide participants with in-depth knowledge of sponsoring markets, sponsoring strategies, and sponsoring concepts, as well as the contribution these make to increasing corporate and brand value.
At the same time, participants will be given an introduction to different topical areas in the world of sponsoring and will get to know their particular characteristics. A further area of focus will be the two innovative sponsoring instruments MA Sponsoring and PerforMindTM.  
 
Target audience:
The Certificate in Advanced Studies (CAS) in Sponsoring Management is aimed at professionals working in fields such as marketing, corporate communications, and corporate social responsibility, as well as at professional newcomers in the fields of advertising, media, and communications. It is also aimed at managers responsible for sponsoring sports, arts and cultural events.
