Degree: Master of Science (MSc) in Business Administration with a Major in Public and Nonprofit Management

Duration: Four semesters, as a work-study program

The masters degree program is a cooperation between the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSW). It is run by the ZHAW School of Management and Law, the ZHAW School of Social Work, the Lucerne School of Business and the Lucerne School of Social Work.

Building on the bachelors degree, the consecutive Master of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Public and Nonprofit Management prepares students for roles in the public sector and in nonprofit organizations, providing them with relevant practical, application-oriented, and scientific knowledge.

The masters degree program focuses on the professional needs of students and on methodology. On completion of the work-study program, graduates possess a masters degree and extensive professional experience. The cooperation between the four tertiary institutes, each of which has an excellent reputation in the field of public and nonprofit organization management, means that students are taught by a range of lecturers and experts with specific strengths and experience in all theoretical and practical aspects of the field.
